Facts
- With Lactobacillus paracasei LP-33, PRObiom® AllerCare contains a probiotic strain that has been intensively studied in clinical trials for allergic rhinitis. [2, 5, 6]
- Each capsule provides at least 2 × 10⁹ (2 billion) active lactobacilli as well as 5 µg Vitamin D3 (100% NRV).
- In a randomised, placebo-controlled trial (n=425), LP-33 significantly improved disease-specific quality of life in seasonal allergic rhinitis – also in addition to an antihistamine. [2]
- In children with perennial allergic rhinitis, LP-33 showed significantly improved quality of life versus placebo. [1]
- In a randomised trial in children (n=220), GMNL-133 improved the SCORAD score in atopic dermatitis versus placebo. [4]
- A systematic review and meta-analysis confirms the benefit of selected probiotics in allergic rhinitis. [5]
- Vitamin D3 contributes to the normal function of the immune system (EFSA-approved health claim).
- No relevant side effects were observed in the clinical trials. Not suitable in cases of known immunosuppression.
- For adults and children from 1 year; simple intake of 1 capsule daily.
